As a native Columbian, Jason Mooney looks forward to participating in a local event where he can display his considerable talents and expertise. He trained with local chefs and has served as a chef himself at respected establishments that include the Country Club of Missouri, Country Club of Mexico, Glenn’s Café, and now Grand Cru. His steakhouse-influenced Wine & Food Festival menu includes fresh, hand-cut steaks.
Grand Cru
1st Course: Roasted red pepper and Blue Crab bisque
2nd Course: Boston Bibb salad with raspberry vinaigrette
Served with dried cherries and cranberries, candied pecans, red onion and fresh goat cheese.
3rd Course: Hangar and mango sorbet
Puréed mango sorbet with a splash of Hangar One vodka
4th Course: Prime beef tenderloin and Rock lobster thermidor
Tenderloin grilled to perfection and broiled lobster served with Grand Duchess Potatoes and sautéed vegetables
5th Course: Grilled peach and blackberry cobbler
served with a Grand Marnier cream and vanilla bean ice cream
